Christy and AJ Kennedy fell in love with Treadwell Inn and St Andrews-by-the-sea the moment they arrived in 2017. They and their team have transformed the Inn’s six rooms into luxury spaces and the main floor and patio into a fine dining restaurant and wine bar. They invite you to enjoy a beautiful evening or getaway by the sea.
Seaside history
Treadwell Inn was originally built Circa 1820 by ships’ chandler, John Treadwell. This meticulously crafted building later served as the Town’s customs house, as proclaimed by a stained glass window over the entrance. The St. Andrews Civic Trust recognized the restoration and preservation efforts by the previous owners awarding them the prestigious Award of Merit. Owners, Christy and AJ, have continued in this same spirit, enhancing each room to provide luxury accommodations and breathe new energy into the Inn.
Relax and enjoy
St Andrews offers a variety of dining experiences including our very own Chandler Room Wine Bar and Kitchen. Chef Jeff Lutes and the Chandler Room team prepare seasonally- and seaside-inspired dishes and offer a thoughtfully curated selection of wines, local beer, cocktails and spirits. The Chandler Room offers a relaxed pace and a chance to enjoy shared experiences. Reservations are highly recommended.

The Treadwell Inn is home to the St Croix Olive shop. Sample oils from Spain, Turkey, Chile, Australia, United States, Tunisia, Greece and Italy or choose the perfect flavoured oil from offerings housed in air tight Fusti. In addition, St. Croix Olive carries more than three dozen Balsamic vinegars from Modena, Italy to surprise and delight your palate.
